Finland – Machine tools – Metrojunapyörien tandem sorvi

Helsinki City Transport (HKL or the Contracting Authority) is procuring a tandem rail grinding machine. The subject of the procurement is a tandem rail grinding machine for the maintenance and repair of metro train wheels to be procured for the Roihupellon Metro Depot. The procurement includes the rail grinding machine with its ancillary systems installed and delivered ready for use. The procurement is related to the initial equipping of Track 13 at the Roihupellon Metro Depot. The construction of Track 13 is estimated to commence approximately 12/2027, and the Main Contractor will be selected before the start of construction. Track 13 is scheduled to be completed preliminarily in the autumn of 2029. Installation work for the grinding machine, including preparatory work, may commence at the earliest in Q1/2029.
