Due to the increase in student numbers at the Werkrealschule in recent years, the current space requirements cannot be accommodated in the existing areas of the main and administrative building. Perspectively, a further increase is to be expected due to already implemented construction areas. In recent years, existing specialist rooms have already been regularly converted to create the necessary number of classrooms. Additional space for classrooms and the required specialist rooms is to be created by an extension (building section B.1). Furthermore, renovation and refurbishment measures are planned for the existing building (building section B+C). The parking spaces that fall away due to the new building are to be newly provided further east and supplemented by additional parking spaces, as the parking spaces currently available on the site are not sufficient for the teaching staff. Approximately 28 parking spaces are to be created here. At the same time, this will relieve the traffic areas directly in front of the main and administrative building during peak times at the start and end of the school day due to the dropping off and picking up of students. Following the completion of the new building, the restoration of the areas around the construction site is planned.
