Germany – Architectural services for buildings – Neubau Grundschule, Betreuungshaus und Mehrzweckhalle in Neuweiler

As part of the long-term development of the educational, childcare, and sports infrastructure of the municipality, several coordinated construction measures are planned for the coming years. The background to this overall measure are both legal requirements in the field of all-day care and structural, functional and age-related deficiencies in existing buildings. To ensure a future-proof and economical offer, a total of three individual projects are to be implemented. A first focus is on the new construction of a childcare centre with canteen and all-day care. With the introduction of the legal entitlement to all-day care, there is an increased need for additional childcare, living and catering areas. Therefore, the construction of a modern building with a canteen, distribution kitchen, childcare rooms, sanitary facilities and additional ancillary areas is planned. The aim is to sustainably expand childcare capacities and strengthen the school infrastructure. As a second measure, the demolition of the existing multi-purpose hall and the new construction of a modern 1.5-court sports hall are planned. The existing building has considerable structural damage as well as technical and age-related defects. An economical renovation is only possible to a limited extent. The planned new building is to serve both school sports and use by local clubs and municipal events in the future. In addition, a contemporary building structure is to enable flexible multi-use. The third construction phase comprises the new construction of the Grundschule Neuweiler. The existing school building will not meet the current requirements for modern learning environments, technical equipment, energy efficiency and room structure in the long term. Therefore, a contemporary school building with classrooms, special rooms, administrative areas, recreation zones and outdoor facilities is planned. The aim is to create a sustainable and future-proof school site. The measures are timed to coincide, so that an orderly and economical implementation can take place. The start of the first measure is planned for 2027. The completion of all projects is planned for 2038. For Project 1 – Childcare Centre with Canteen and All-Day Care, planning services for the building planning in phases 1 to 3 have already been provided by the architectural firm Großmann. In addition, a comprehensive urban development concept in the form of a mass study for the planned overall measures was also created by the architectural firm Großmann. This includes the spatial development of the entire site as well as the conceptual coordination and timing of the three planned projects. The aim of the study is to ensure an orderly, economical and functional implementation of the individual construction phases.
