Description

The existing interiors of the Royal Box and the public toilet facilities in the building of the Teatr Wielki – Opera Narodowa do not meet current usability, technical, or aesthetic standards, and their condition does not match the rank of a public and representative object. As part of the ongoing Competition, the Purchaser's intention is to raise the aesthetic, functional, and technical standards of these spaces. Given that the existing sanitary infrastructure does not meet current aesthetic standards and does not match the style of the historic interiors, and lowers the aesthetic value of the public spaces of the Theatre, it is planned to carry out the reconstruction and modernisation of a total of 24 public toilet facilities, located from the dressing room level to the level of the III Balcony, covering 6 floors of the building, with a total area of 611.10 m². The planned investment intention also includes the reconstruction and modernisation of the Royal Box Lounge rooms along with the bar, backstage and toilets, with a total area of 102.50 m², located in the representative part of the object, directly adjacent to the auditorium and the main hall. This space serves an important representative and functional role, so its standard should match the prestige of the institution and the requirements of contemporary users. The reconstruction and modernisation of the Royal Box interiors is also necessary due to the need to adapt the existing installations to the applicable technical and building regulations, sanitary regulations, and requirements regarding accessibility for people with disabilities. The scope of the planned works includes, in particular, the comprehensive reconstruction and modernisation of electrical and ventilation installations, the replacement of sanitary equipment, door joinery (if Participants deem this necessary), the refreshing of walls, as well as the improvement of aesthetics and user comfort. It is also planned to carry out a comprehensive modernisation of the buffet area, including gastronomic, sales and accompanying spaces in the entrance foyer areas on the ground floor level and on levels +2 and +2A, with consideration of the functional, artistic, aesthetic and material coherence of all designed elements. Competition entries must be submitted in electronic and physical form, in accordance with the provisions of Section IX of the Competition Regulations. DETAILS IN THE COMPETITION REGULATIONS.
