France – Electricity, heating, solar and nuclear energy – Fiabilisation des échangeurs anti-icing de Martigues et de Blénod

EDF SAFrancePublished on Mar 15, 2026
No deadline given

Description

The subject of the contract concerns the design studies of heat exchanger batteries (including studies to improve the initial design), workshop manufacturing, and on-site work. The exchanger comprises 16 batteries and serves to heat the air upstream of the compressor of the Gas Turbine on the CCG Blénod and on Unit 5 of the CCG Martigues. The expected services are as follows:

1/ Design of a new exchanger: The Contractor must design a new exchanger according to the CODAP or EN standards, incorporating design improvements to ensure a 25-year lifespan and 1,500 hours of annual operation, under normal operating conditions and site ambient conditions.

2/ Workshop manufacturing of heat exchanger batteries and hydraulic testing, decapping and passivation - DESP compliance assessment according to module G:

3/ Transport to site and storage

4/ Removal of old batteries - Installation of new batteries - Participation in the leak tests carried out by the site before the equipment is restarted - Performance of functional tests to achieve thermal performance:

- Removal of old batteries

- Installation of new batteries

The leak tests aim to validate the bolted assemblies. The installation at Blénod will take place during the 2027 outage, which occurs between May and September. As the next outages at Martigues 5 are short, the installation of the batteries will be carried out as follows: 4 batteries in 2027, 4 in 2028, 4 in 2029 and 4 in 2030. The 2027 outage lasts 1 month, in April (only 3.5 weeks available for the removal of the old batteries and the installation of the new ones).
