The strategy of St.Galler Stadtwerke (sgsw) envisages operating the Operational Technology (OT) in three dedicated data centres. Two of these locations are to be implemented in an existing substation of St.Galler Stadtwerke each. The third location will be developed and realised independently within the new construction project UW Steinachstrasse subsequently and is therefore not part of this tender. As part of a preliminary project, two potential locations were evaluated and assessed for their feasibility. The site-specific master concepts developed from this, as well as the requirements elaborated (specification), form the basis for the further planning and implementation of the construction project. With this tender, St.Galler Stadtwerke is looking for a general planner who will further develop the construction project and be responsible for its complete realisation. The general planner will assume all planning and coordination services according to the SIA phases 31 to 53 as well as the tasks defined in the tender documents. The aim of St.Galler Stadtwerke is to be able to put the data centres into operation by mid-2028 or earlier. This gives rise to the need to develop and realise the two locations in parallel. In addition, the two data centres should be as identical and functionally identical as possible. Synergies, for example in the tendering of hardware or in the commissioning of specialist planners, are to be consistently utilised.
