The subject construction project of DB InfraGO AG is part of the DSD Starter Package "Passability of the Scandinavian–Mediterranean Corridor" (ScanMed). This corridor is one of the three projects of the Starter Package, which is further divided into several major projects per network. In the subject project of DB InfraGO AG, the route 5300 will be equipped with DSTW technology and ETCS L2. The project is divided into several sections, specifically sections PA 1 and PA 4 in the Donauwörth network district and the Augsburg network district. The investment sum for this project is estimated at approximately EUR 271.8 million. Of this, approximately EUR 10.0 million has already been settled via an existing contract. The newly tendered insurance contract will replace the existing contract. A construction period until 31.12.2030 is currently planned. The insurance contract will commence after the completion of the tendering procedure with the date of the award following a currently existing preliminary cover. (Type M) In the liability insurance, the cover amount per claim is EUR 25,000,000 flat rate for personal injury, property and financial loss, including the benefits from the environmental liability insurance. In the professional indemnity insurance, a separate cover amount per claim of EUR 10,000,000 flat rate for property and financial loss is available. The aforementioned sums are tripled. The Extended Maintenance in the construction and assembly insurance part amounts to 42 months. The subsequent liability in the liability insurance is 10 years, in the environmental liability and environmental damage insurance 5 years. The general deductible amounts to at least EUR 25,000. The deductible is waived for personal injury. The extended planning cover is included in the professional indemnity insurance. The deductible in the extended planning cover amounts to EUR 100,000.
