The new kindergarten building is a two-story L-shaped structure on the ground floor with a partially projecting upper floor. It is intended to accommodate a total of 168 children. On the ground floor, group rooms and ancillary rooms for 60 nursery children and on the upper floor for 108 kindergarten children are planned. Social and ancillary rooms for approximately 40 staff members are also planned. On the ground floor, the kindergarten management will be located in the northern part of the building, as well as an office and course room for community work. The main entrance is located on the forecourt towards Schwalbenweg. Internal access is provided via two internal staircases and a central corridor. In the foyer, both on the ground floor and on the upper floor, canteens with mobile partition systems are planned, which can also be used for performances or assemblies and expanded in area. The building is planned as a solid construction with KS masonry, reinforced concrete ceilings and a timber gable roof construction on the upper floor. A reinforced concrete flat roof is planned above the single-story northern building section. An extensive green roof system as a warm roof construction is provided for both roof types. The facade will have a curtain wall made of wood in some areas and otherwise a facing brick cladding with appropriate insulation.
