Given the specific nature of the institution, the procurement of services for the collection, transport, and disposal of healthcare waste is necessary to ensure the optimal conduct of medical activities and the safe management of waste resulting from medical acts. These services are essential for protecting the health of medical personnel, patients, and the population, as well as for preventing environmental contamination, in compliance with the applicable legal provisions regarding the management of waste resulting from medical activities, including Minister of Health Order no. 1.226/2012 for the approval of the Technical Standards regarding the management of waste resulting from medical activities and the methodology for collecting data for the national database on waste resulting from medical activities, as amended and supplemented, as well as other relevant normative acts in force.
