Denmark – Architectural, construction, engineering and inspection services – Totalrådgiverudbud vedr. restaurering af Faaborg Museum

On 5 June 2026, Faaborg Museum issued a prior information notice to inform the market that this tender could be expected to be published on 10 July 2026. Faaborg Museum wishes to find a partner who can help develop and realise the museum's visions and wishes to secure the Carl Petersen museum building (also known as the Carl Petersen wing), which is both the framework for the museum's activities, but also the museum's greatest work of art in its own right. Faaborg Museum therefore wishes to find a total consultant who can enter into a constructive and value-creating partnership with Faaborg Museum on this task. The consulting task includes technical advice and assistance in connection with the restoration of the Carl Petersen wing in the preparation of layout proposals, building programme, project proposal, authority projects, tender and execution project, expert supervision, construction management (option), AMK (B) (option), project follow-up, delivery and handover to operation as well as 1st year inspection. The task also includes design work related to the renovation of the Café wing, which can be accommodated within the budget. The fee model is composed with a budget frame up to and including approved layout proposal and fixed price thereafter. The total expected expenditure for the execution of the enterprise amounts to 40 million kroner excl. VAT (K2, 2026), including construction site, winter measures and set aside amount for unforeseen expenses. The amount includes the restoration of the Carl Petersen wing as well as only the work in the Café wing, which can be accommodated within the budget. The project's financing is composed of donations from several parties. Specifically, the project is financed by Faaborg-Midtfyn Municipality, A.P. Møller Foundation, Augustinus Foundation and Louis Hansen Foundation as well as a state special grant. The client has chosen the contract form Total Consultancy and thus has not divided the services into several sub-contracts, because the project involves high complexity with specialised solutions and where the consultant's knowledge can be utilised through all phases of the project. There is a significant need for close integration between architectural, engineering and technical solutions, particularly with regard to architecture, preservation, fire strategy, indoor climate and structures as well as museum operations. The tender is carried out as a negotiated procedure in accordance with the Public Procurement Act §§ 61-66. The negotiated procedure has been chosen with reference to the fact that the project involves a complex task, where it is not possible in advance to specify all technical and legal requirements sufficiently precisely. The negotiation form provides the opportunity to clarify and optimise the tenders in dialogue with the tenderers, which is crucial to ensure the best possible quality and economy in the project. The tender form is therefore considered the most appropriate to ensure competition, meet the project's complexity and achieve the most economically advantageous result for the client.
