The tree population of the University of Zurich is a valuable asset due to its location in the city centre, its ecological and heritage significance, and its high recreational and identity value. The trees significantly shape the appearance of the university, make an important contribution to biodiversity and the urban climate, and support a well-maintained and representative corporate identity. To ensure a professional, sustainable, and traffic-safe condition of the tree population, the tree care services for the next five years are being newly tendered. The services include, in particular, the professional care, maintenance, and development of the trees in the outdoor areas, as well as ensuring traffic safety.
