In this context, a digital monitoring system for condensate drains is being implemented to ensure efficient control and to avoid unnecessary energy losses. Located on the main property of the UKE, there are around 400 condensate drains in the steam system, which are currently checked manually. The condensate drains are installed across approximately 20 buildings. The solution must be a digital condensate drain management system as a managed service. Required are the continuous recording and evaluation of temperature and ultrasonic data, automatic condition diagnoses, trend analyses, alarm management, and the calculation of energy, steam, and CO2 losses. The data must be provided via a web-based, ISO 50001-compliant platform. The scope of services includes the digitization of the condensate drain population, regular expert analyses, optimization reports, and recommendations for action to increase energy efficiency, plant availability, and sustainability. The supplier must demonstrate proven expertise in the comprehensive analysis and optimization of steam and condensate systems.
