The ÜSTRA Hannoversche Verkehrsbetriebe AG, with its city buses and trams, is among the leading public transport companies in Germany. It transports approximately 163 million passengers per year and is thus the most efficient service provider for local transport in Lower Saxony. ÜSTRA is a traditional company that has been moving Hannover since 1892. With over 44 million vehicle kilometers per year (rail and bus) and more than 2,500 employees, ÜSTRA transports Hannover residents in the city center at 10-minute intervals during the day, thus ensuring mobility in the city and region. The existing depot Glocksee is being completely rebuilt. The construction of three buildings is planned (administrative building, workshop, vehicle hall). The parking facility for trams is to be retained. The construction measure will be implemented in two construction phases during ongoing operations to avoid disrupting public transport. The subject of the tender is a combined construction, assembly, and liability insurance (Lot 1) and excess liability insurance (Lot 2) to secure the first construction phase of the "New Depot Glocksee" project.
