The Zweckverband Gymnasialer Schulverband Ostfilder is the owner of Sporthalle 2 in Nellingen. Sporthalle 2 is a training hall without spectator seating. It is used for school sports during the day and for club sports in the evenings. The 3-court sports hall was completed in 1978 and the technical systems were commissioned at that time. Over the years, the hall floor has developed moisture damage due to rising water, which now needs to be remedied. Due to the age of the building, the roof, facade and windows are in need of renovation. In particular, the roof already shows minor leaks. In line with the year of construction (1978), there is only minimal thermal insulation on the external components. Due to the age of the (technical) systems, there are already restrictions in the functionality of individual components such as hot water preparation. The planned renovation measures include in particular: - the energy renovation of the facade and roof - the sealing of the plinth and foundation area - the renewal of the sports hall floor - conversion measures in the interior - the building services renovation in the trades of electrical, ventilation, heating, MSR and sanitary. The need for renovation of Sporthalle 2 was presented in the meetings of the Administrative Board and the Assembly (Zweckverband Gymnasialer Schulverband Ostfilder) in a presentation and explained there with examples of the current condition and the planned measures. According to the so-called Three-Trades Rule, the renovation of Sporthalle 2 is an investment measure. The planned total costs amount to just over 6 million €. The implementation of the renovation measures is to be carried out in 2 construction phases: 1. Construction phase: Roof, facade and sealing 2. Construction phase: Interior refurbishment and building services In the event of the approval of corresponding federal funding, the project will be carried out in the years 2027 and 2028.
