Belgium – Construction work – RÉNOVATION ET ISOLATION THERMIQUE DES TOITURES ET BARDAGES, RÉNOVATION INTÉRIEURE DES LOCAUX SOUS TOITURE, RÉNOVATION DES CHÂSSIS DE L’INSTITUT MONTEFIORE (BÂTIMENT B28) – PHASES 4.1 - 4.2/ PHASE 5 / PHASE 6

The roofs of building B28, dating from the building's construction (1978), are severely degraded and must be renovated. Several roofs of B28 contain asbestos underlayment in fibrous form, making the renovation of these roofs particularly complex. The asbestos removal is carried out through a framework agreement that the ULiège has concluded with an asbestos removal contractor. The present works consist of:

- replacing the slate roof covering with zinc sheets and thermally insulating the roofs; including the replacement of the asbestos underlayment;

- securing the roofs for their future maintenance;

- replacing the slate facade cladding with zinc sheets and thermally insulating the cladding;

- replacing the wooden frames included in the new zinc cladding with aluminium frames with new glazing, all with high-performance thermal insulation;

- renovating the existing wooden frames outside the new zinc cladding with new glazing, all with high-performance thermal insulation;

- replacing external shutters (south facades);

- bringing electrical systems up to code and replacing luminaires with low-energy LED luminaires;

- replacing the obsolete fire detection system;

- bringing ventilation equipment up to code where necessary;

- bringing lightning protection systems up to code;

- finishing the interior of the roof spaces.

This is a contract that includes several phases of work:

- Phase 4, divided into 2 parts: Phase 4.1 and Phase 4.2 = firm contract

- Phase 5 = 1st conditional section

- Phase 6 = 2nd conditional section

Each conditional section will be lifted subject to budget availability. The conditional sections (Phase 5 and Phase 6) would be lifted in March 2027 and March 2028 respectively, subject to budget availability for each section.

The contract is divided into lots as follows:
