Belgium – Digital mapping services – De vernieuwing van het digitale cartografiesysteem van het spoorwegnet, inclusief de modernisering en optimalisatie van het propagatiemodel voor radiodekking.

This contract is made up of two parts: the supply of a digital mapping system and a calibrated radio propagation model. For the mapping system, digital maps of two different resolutions will be required, with updated topographical data incorporating the various infrastructures, environments and associated buildings. The high-resolution maps will cover a corridor centred on the railway tracks as well as the largest agglomerations, and the low-resolution maps will cover the whole of Belgium (with some extensions into neighbouring countries). For the radio propagation model part, a model calibrated according to the needs and requirements of the deployment in a railway environment will be provided. Support for the implementation of this model within INFRABEL's tools will also be required. The supplier must provide the necessary software as well as complete technical support. The mapping data must be fully compatible with existing systems. The propagation model must be calibrated based on field measurements. The mission also includes the training of end-users to ensure optimal appropriation of the deliverables.
