Fördern & Wohnen (F&W) provides shelter for the homeless and helps them to get back on their feet. Refugees also find temporary accommodation here. For people who struggle particularly hard on the housing market, F&W creates apartments. People with disabilities or mental illness live at F&W and experience inclusion. F&W Fördern & Wohnen AöR is a subsidiary of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. With around 2,200 employees, it is present at over 200 locations for people. In Hein-Hoyer-Strasse, 3 existing buildings are to be demolished and replaced by a 6-storey new building. The new building is to create approx. 135 places in publicly-law accommodation (örU), possibly with a proportion of apartments for households with priority housing needs. The publicly-law accommodation is to take place in housing-like units. These units will probably have internal shower bathrooms and small kitchens and will be equipped to a simple standard. District heating is available in the street for the building's heat supply. The building is to be served by a lift. The necessary administrative and communal areas for the örU complement the space programme. This tender relates to the structural design of phases 1-6.
