Netherlands – Construction work for water and sewage pipelines – 4-W-0033061-25: Westlus, engineering en uitvoering renovatie persleidingen Heemraadsingel

Selection of a construction team partner to prepare and subsequently execute the renovation and application of a diameter reduction of a cast-iron pressure pipe from pumping station Statensingel (G0007) to pumping station Heemraadsplein (G0003) in the municipality of Rotterdam. Subproject 3 consists of the renovation of a pressure pipe system in the Westlus of Rotterdam. It includes a Southern part (part A) and a Northern part (part B). The southern part concerns the nodular cast-iron pressure pipe system from pumping station Statensingel (designated as G0007) to pumping station Heemraadsplein (designated as G0003). The northern part concerns the pressure pipe system from pumping station West-Sidelinge (designated as G0008) to the junction point in the southern part at the intersection of Statensingel/van Aerssenlaan. Only the southern part (part A) is included in this tender, and the works mainly include: • The application of various (renovation) methods: o cured-in-Place Pipe Lining (CIPP) and, o pipe-in-pipe (BIB) and o via open excavation; • Removal and/or replacement of various appendages from the existing pressure pipes; • Reduction of the diameter of the pressure pipes; • Realisation/improvement of the junction point; • Execution of soil inspections; • Application of flora and fauna measures; • Coordination with interface projects and works. The tendering of the aforementioned works will take place in two phases. A construction team phase and an execution phase. The construction team phase is intended to result in a specified and executable design for the works mentioned. Therefore, in this tender procedure, a partner is first sought to participate in the Construction Team. This Construction Team has the task of delivering a number of products that together form ‘the design’ for the formal invitation of the execution phase. The Construction Team partner may then submit a bid for the tender. If this is accepted, the execution phase will follow, in which the Construction Team partner becomes the Contractor for the execution phase.
