Description

BWI GmbH (hereinafter referred to as "BWI") is considering awarding a framework contract for the continuation and scaling of internet transit access with up to 500 Gbit/s at the Bördeland site for a value of 14,869,161.11 € (net) up to 22,303,741.67 € (net) (upper limit) via a negotiated procedure with a competitive element in accordance with § 11 Abs. 1 Satz 1 Alt. 2 VSVgV. The framework contract will be concluded with a maximum duration of 7 years (3 years basic term, with 4 extension options of 12 months each). The contractor (AN) is to provide BWI with an IP transit broadband line to the internet for the Bördeland data centre. This includes the provision of a blackholing procedure as an ISP procedure (Internet Service Provider procedure) for protection against DDoS attacks. The blackholing procedure involves automatically rerouting Denial of Service (DoS) and Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks to a so-called blackhole (black hole), so that these attacks run into a void. This prevents such IT attacks from affecting the internet lines and services as well as the connected DMZ (Demilitarized Zone as a security transition) and downstream IT-SysBw network. The blackholing procedure is a provider procedure that is tied to the respective provider technology. The service itself is provided exclusively in the IT infrastructure of the same ISP.
