The site of the former Barker Barracks in the north of the city of Paderborn was used as an important location for the British armed forces until the site was vacated by the British military in 2019 and, due to its size and location, is one of the most important development areas of the city of Paderborn. Based on the master plan for the Zukunftsquartier Paderborn, a mixed-use urban area is to be created. TPG TechnologieParkPaderborn GmbH (TPG) takes on the central role for the use type "Technology" as part of the implementation of the Zukunftsquartier. It has the task of planning, constructing and operating a building for an "Innovation Centre" (working title, the final designation may differ), which will serve as the first visible anchor of a long-term planned innovation park in the Zukunftsquartier. The planning should be based on conceptual work (Annexes BX and BX) which will be made available with the tender documents. The services advertised relate to the general planning contract for the planning and construction of the "Innovation Centre" Paderborn in the Zukunftsquartier Paderborn.
