The project's aim is the development of a scientifically sound approach to assessing and locating flash flood hazards and risks in the rail network, as well as associated possible courses of action. Hazard, risk and measure analyses are to be simplified, standardised and made reproducible in this way through scientifically sound criteria, tools and workflows. The central result of the project is to be a guideline that describes the developed approach, including framework conditions, data, tools and workflows, in a target group-oriented and application-oriented manner.
