No deadline given

Description

Niedersachsen Ports GmbH & Co. KG (hereinafter: Niedersachsen Ports) is the largest infrastructure operator of public seaports, island supply ports and regional ports on the German North Sea coast. Among other things, Niedersachsen Ports operates the island port of Baltrum on the eponymous North Sea island, which also has commercial areas. The port of Baltrum is located in the southwest of the car-free island and is connected to the town by public transport. The main functions of the port are ferry traffic and the supply of the island of Baltrum. In the area of the port of Baltrum, Niedersachsen Ports does not provide any unsupervised area for general use for traffic safety reasons, where goods can be left for self-collection. Therefore, goods handled via the port must be collected directly from the ships by "self-collectors". Alternatively, the shipment must be made in such a way that a company takes custody of the goods from the time of unloading and then distributes them further. For example, the goods can be delivered to the recipient's address via the shipping company serving the island of Baltrum and a freight forwarder/another company taking over the goods immediately at the time of unloading. Temporary storage of goods in the jetty area is not to take place. Niedersachsen Ports has already awarded part of the port of Baltrum as part of a time-limited operating concession. The concessionaire is to operate the sub-area as a transshipment and storage area for freight traffic to the island. The area owned by Niedersachsen Ports and marked in yellow with a red border on one part of the tender documents (hereinafter: area N18) with an area of approximately 1,211 m² is also to be used in the future as a transshipment and storage area for freight traffic to the island. In particular, the interim storage of goods/luggage for collection by the recipients/passengers or the pre-stowage of goods for the purpose of dispatch via the port is to be enabled on area N18. In addition, passenger traffic via area N18 is also to be enabled - upon corresponding instruction by the shipping company. As part of the tender in question, this concessionaire is to be found. Area N18 will be available for the aforementioned use from 01.04.2026 to 31.12.2029.
