The project "Spring ud i det!" aims to develop Nordre Fælled in Randers as an urban nature area with recreational offers and blue and green outdoor activities. The project is carried out by Randers Municipality in cooperation with the Nature Agency and the City Secretariat and with support from A.P. Møller Fonden and the Local and Construction Fund. The central element of the project is the establishment of an artificial bathing lake with associated support facilities and new recreational landscapes. The bathing lake and the associated facilities and landscape elements shall enhance Nordre Fælled as an urban nature area for citizens and visitors. The project comprises three main parts: 1. Bathing Lake: Establishment of an artificial bathing lake of 6 ha. 2. Buildings and support facilities: Establishment of buildings related to the bathing lake, including, inter alia: • community house • changing facilities and bath • sauna • toilets incl. disabled toilet • covered seating areas. It is up to the total consultant to propose the allocation of the functions in one or more buildings with consideration of landscape integration. 3. Landscape and recreational connections: Development of the landscape around the bathing lake using the soil from the lake, including the establishment of paths, seating areas, activity areas and nature-based experiences. The project aims to strengthen the area's existing natural qualities and create new recreational opportunities. The project also aims to open Nordre Fælled as a recreational area for a broad user group and contribute to the development of the surrounding neighbourhood. The total budget for the project is expected to be approximately 59 million DKK.
