The existing fire station building does not meet current requirements for modern fire operations in its current structural and functional design. In particular, there is a lack of sufficient and standard-compliant changing and sanitary facilities for the emergency services personnel. Additionally, an additional vehicle hall is required. Furthermore, the existing building has a significant need for energy-related renovation. The building envelope and the building services do not meet today's state of the art, resulting in increased energy consumption and ongoing operating costs. The aim of the project is to ensure the sustainable provision of a high-performance, demand-oriented and future-proof fire station. By adding additional functional areas, particularly for changing rooms, and the new construction of an additional vehicle hall, the operational readiness, the safety of work and the hygiene for the firefighters will be significantly improved. At the same time, the existing building will be adapted to the current needs plan through comprehensive renovation and will be energetically upgraded, so that the building standard will be adapted to current legal and technical requirements and a contribution to municipal climate protection will be made.
